The Detpac is standard-issue WEC military satchel charge.[3][4][2]
It consists of the actual explosive and a hand-held radio remote control detonator. Its range is no more than 50 meters away in open terrain (considerably more limited indoors or in rough or heavily-forested areas).[3][4] Due to interference, this range shortens considerably indoors or in heavy terrain.[4][2]
Thanks to its small weight, a single soldier is normally issued two to three detpacs on a mission.[4]
